Everybody's searching for something. Peace when life feels heavy. Answers when nothing makes sense. The feeling that someone actually sees you and cares about what you're going through.
The Idaho Falls Mission has been sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in eastern Idaho for years. But we kept running into the same thing — people had real questions and didn't know where to go for answers. Some weren't ready to walk into a church. Some had walked away from one. Some had never been religious at all but felt like something was missing.
So we decided to meet them where they already were: online. That's how this website — and our podcast, Choosing Jesus Christ — came to be.
We believe in a God who meets people where they actually are. Not after they've cleaned up their act. Not after they've memorized the right answers. Right now. Today. In the middle of whatever you're going through.
You don't need to be sure about what you believe yet. You just need to be willing to ask. That's the starting point.
We're members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and everything here is built on what we believe — that Jesus Christ is real, that He loves you personally, and that your questions aren't the problem. They're the starting point.
Who Are Missionaries?
Missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are everyday people who dedicate 18 months to 2 years of their lives to one purpose: helping others discover what it means to Choose Jesus Christ.
They leave home and familiar routines to focus entirely on inviting individuals and families to come unto Him — to build faith, ask honest questions, and experience the peace that comes from following the Savior.
They teach from the Bible and the Book of Mormon, pray with those they meet, and serve in their communities wherever there is need. Many missionaries serve because they have personally experienced the power of choosing Jesus Christ in their own lives and want others to feel that same hope and direction.
